Refund Policy

No refunds are available for your entry fee. Even in the event of an injury, family business, personal emergency, and other similar circumstances. Sorry, there are no exceptions. We do, however, allow rider substitutions. It is up to you and the other party to work out any financial compensation for your race entrance. You will need to contact us and inform us of the transferal ASAP.

This policy remains in effect regardless of road conditions, course changes, weather factors, or anything else. The race directors may cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances, but this is not anticipated and would only be done under very rare conditions that would involve safety or legal issues.

Reasoning in our Policy
In reality, we don’t like to enforce this policy, but we must. We understand the feeling that if you can’t make it to the race you should receive a refund. Preparing and executing a successful Kokopelli Relay event takes all year to plan and orchestrate. It requires a lot of financing on our end as well. Most of our expenses are paid for before the event even occurs. When a rider signs up for the race we plan on them for the race and print materials and coordinate our permitting based on such. If a rider fails to show up to the race, it costs us the same amount as if they did. We have this policy to make sure the future events of the Kokopelli Relay can continue to be the best experience possible.
